This is apparently a chicken coop burning also on route 40 again in Franklin Township. Apparently 911 calls were coming in, reports of a brush fire in the area. When crews arrived they discovered it was a chicken coop. No word at this point if any animals have been injured as a result but we just lost the shot. Rafael rabb lost his bid for Early Release in norristown. He killed his exwife ellen rabb inside their king of prussia home back in 2006. Now that the parole bordenave his request, the Montgomery County d. A. s office says robb will likely serve the rest of his 10 year sentence. One person is dead after a car caught fire on a south jersey highway today and police are still trying to figure out how it all happened. Chopper6 was over route 55 in Franklin Township where police say a car caught fire just before 8 oclock this morning. Police say they showed up to find the car in flames and the driver had already passed away. They have not told us the have ick tims name. They also say there are no obvious signs that this car was in an accident prior. Rescue crews had to help out today in Delaware County after police found a car in the water there. Chopper6 was over Stevens Drive in tinicum township where a car went into darby creek. Police say the driver was on i95 when he went off the road and into the water. Hes in the hospital and is expected to make it. Police have not told us his name, either. It is clear now but there are clouds building in parts of the Western Areas of virginia, west virginia, ohio and tennessee valley. Robert wilson, iii was the first Philadelphia Police officer to receive this National Award when he was killed in action last year he was 30 years old, the father of two. One however was given posthumously to philadelphia Sergeant Robert wilson, iii. On a day in 2015 wilson was inside this game stop store when two Armed Robbers entered. Two men opened fire in a video store where Sergeant Wilson was buying his son a birthday present. To his family who is here, his grandmother constance, his brother and sister, please know how deeply sorry we are for your loss. At the time of his death officials said by not moving for cover in the gun battle he drew the fire away from customers and staff huddled behind the counter. Saturday it was 76 degrees. Yesterday our high only in the upper 50s. Today back up to around 65 degrees. The normal now is 74, so what we felt on saturday is a little more typical than the last 48 hours. In fact, days with High Temperatures in the 50s for philadelphia, weve had six so far this month going halfway through the month. We havent had that many days stuck in the 50s for highs since 1978 and temperatures right now are averaging close to 4 degrees below normal. Presently its 65 for allentown, reading, lancaster. Those areas started in the 30s this morning, so a pretty decent recovery. 64 in millville so pretty uniform everywhere even at the shore with those winds out of the north and west. In fact, still gusting right now to 30 miles an hour in philadelphia, 26 in millville, near 30 at the Atlantic City airport and 25 for reading as well as lancaster. As we look at satellite and radar, Crystal Clear sky right now but clouds are increasing to the south and west. This is ahead of a frontal boundary that will be pushing in from the south late tonight in the form of clouds and then eventually some rain tomorrow. So, lows tonight will be a good 10 or so degrees warmer than last night. 46 in the lehigh valley, 48 in wilmington. 51 philadelphia. 50 for dover and its due in part because of those clouds coming in acting like an atmospheric blanket its a dry start to your Tuesday Morning rush hour. The clouds are here so not dealing with sun glare but the showers will increase during the morning into the early afternoon hours at 1 30 as some of these showers pass by, not a lot of heavy rain but another cloudy, dreary, damp day. Hes in the hospital in extremely Critical Condition. Police have not yet made any arrests. Police in south jersey are looking for two women who stole from a sicklerville grocery storely they gave us surveillance pictures from inside the shop rite on cross keys road. The two women took about 600 in groceries on saturday and then left without paying. Police released a picture of the car the women were driving. Anyone who knows anything about this crime is asked to come forward. U. S. Senator bob casey visited Montgomery County today to push the passage of the speakup act. Senator casey stopped by mission kids in East Norriton a nonprofit helping alleged victims of sexual and physical abuse. The speakup act would require doctors teachers and coaches to report suspected abuse of children directly to the state. Failure to comply could cost states federal funding to respond to abuse claims. Their uniforms are blue but apparently their thumbs are green. Some members of the Philadelphia PoliceDepartment Spent the morning sprucing up the outside of Police Headquarters by planting some flowers. The planting is in honor of National Police week which pays tribute to members of Law Enforcement who have lost their lives in the line of duty. We spoke with School Officials some of the victims friends and we also spoke with the parents of one of the teenagers who died this past weekend. It was back to class today for students at Bridgeton High School but it was not back to normal. That goes double for mikayla mosleys father mark. She was just so outgoing. People person. Funny. Just just shy. Reporter 15yearold mikayla and her close friend 17yearold daisia salt ton were killed early saturday morning. This memorial marks the spot where darbies vehicle veered off route 49 in Maurice River township and slammed into a tree. They and two other people inside that vehicle were coming home from the shore following their High School Prom on friday night. Mikaylas mom says she cannot believe that someone so full of life is gone. She was loved by everybody. She was like a ray of sunshine. When she came in the room everybody knew sh she was there. Reporter grief counselors and clergy members were on hand at the high school as classmates and friends remember two young ladies who were always willing to help others in need. Nobody was talking. Everybody was crying. I was crying because how much i missed them and how much they did a lot for me helping me with my work and what i was doing. Reporter those sentiments are shared by mikaylas parents who say theyve lost something truly unique and wonderful. We lost our light. I lost my helper. Helper. She just was we lost our right hand. We lost our love. Reporter now regarding the two other teenagers inside that vehicle at last check, 16yearold zaiaya stocks remains in that stable condition. 17yearold Jada Barrientos remains in Critical Condition at cooper University Hospital much new Jersey State Police are still working to determine exactly why darby have a sulton lost control. A store manager is recovering after being stabbed on the job this morning. Police say it happened during a robbery at the Dollar General on the 900 block of girard in north philadelphia. We dont know how it all played out but the 24yearold manager ended up getting stabbed in the arm. The suspects grabbed cash and then took off from the scene. No one has been arrested. Upper darby want police catching a man who took pictures up a womans skirt while she was standing in line. The suspect as you saw there put his cell phone right under the victims skirt and took several pictures. She felt someone touch her leg so she turn around and confronted the man who then ran off. If you recognize this guy, please contact upper darby police. A firehouse in West Philadelphia has spent the day cleaning up from a flood. A water main break on Market Street near 43rd sent water flowing into the basement of the engine five ladder six station. That area is usually used as a sports club and lounge. Part of Market Street buckled during the break so traffic is being redirected in that area. The Water Department says it will take them until tomorrow morning to fix that pipe. Chopper6 over the scene as fire crews battle a house fire. The flames broke out just about 10 minutes ago near the 1600 block of hunting park avenue. Firefighters said they saw heavy flames coming from the upper floors of that twostory structure. It is the middle building in a series of row houses. As you can see they appear to have gotten some of the flames under control at this point, though by no means do we know if the fire is under control. No reports of any injuries right now but were monitoring this breaking situation in juniata park a house fire at a row home right now. There is a new Crime Fighting tool in the city of wilmington. The Police Department opened the Realtime Crime Center on north walnut street today. Wilmington mayor Dennis Williams got a firsthand look at how it all works. Police say the center will improve information sharing and response times. The system is also compatible with license plate readers. The city plans to install them in the near future. Camden county officials are investigating a fish store after a hazmat scare put nearly a dozen employees at risk. Action news anchor Monica Malpass live in the news room with the details. That of course is river road because it runs rye by the river between 202 and perry street stay over on hearty bush way to get around that tractortrailer accident. Had a broken down vehicle on the northeast extension southbound side approaching the lehigh valley. That just cleared out so both lance reopened there which is if news. On the big picture a few issues to watch out for in rhawnhurst some wires pulled down by a truck along large near cottman. Have a crash in olde city at fourth and race. We have this broken down vehicle on the westbound side of 76 at 202 in king of prussia. Its blocking one of the express lanes but at this point not causing a whole lot of slowing. Over in delanco some emergency construction going on on the northbound side of 130 at creek road there by breeze motors. Right lane is out of commission and we had some incidents earlier this afternoon in Gloucester County including a crash on 55 northbound and one on delsea drive. Monday night and the big story on action news is the investigation into mercury found inside the Aquarium Center in clementon. The aquarium send has been in business for well over 20s years but that stopped abruptly last week just a week ago when of all things mercury was found in a fish tank and was spread to the floor when employees tried to clean it up. Reporter thats dominic, the owner of the Aquarium Center at the Commerce Plaza two in clementon. His store has been shut down since may 9th when mercury was discovered inside a fish tank. The toxic substance was spread when employees tried to clean it out along with the dead fish inside. Mercury he in itself is a is dangerous substance and any elevated exposure can cause sickness. Reporter including brain kidney damage and death. Employees had to undergo a decontamination process including discarding all of their clothing. Acceptable levels of mercury are. 05 milligrams per cubic meter. The level on the store of the fish store was 10,000 times that. 12 employees at the store are having urine samples sent Scott Centers for Disease Control for testing.
