We just had a briefing here at 3 oclock and the take away is buckle up, its going to be a bumpy ride for commuter on the rail system tomorrow starting tomorrow it will be going for quite awhile. Septa is scam scrambling because of the loss of the use of its silver liner rail cars. Theyll be using a modified saturday schedule tomorrow until further notice. Please be patient. This is very challenging for us. We have everybody working to understand the problem and what the solution is. Its not a shortterm fix that we really encourage when you look at our our whole transportation network, the real message is you have a lot of options. Reporter almost overnight septa lost 13,000 rail seats in its 120 newest rail cars. So on a normal weekday, 65,000 people may ride the rails, so its estimated tomorrow its likely only 35 to 40,000 may find a seat on a train. Among the options, take buses, trolleys or other septa mass transit. One possibility, drive to south philadelphia and park in one of the 1600 Parking Spaces at old navy hospital. Then walk to the broad street subway. The message to riders, be flexible. We have a very vast Transit Network with all our rail lines, the subways, our 118 bus routes, we really are encouraging our Regional Rail riders if they can, to move towards, you know, the other opportunity other parts of our system. Reporter well, this all could last weeks, possibly months were told, so if you stick with Regional Rails, for rush hour traffic, trains are likely to be very crowded tomorrow, not necessarily will they leave on time were told.
