Fake. Reporter in fact, four of the seven schools targeted with the threat decided not to evacuate. Parents were notified but the statement from the Fairfax CountyPublic Schools reports that police did not view the threat as credible. Consequently, students at mclean, westfield, and herndon high schools went about their regular day while investigators scoured the buildings. The private Potomac School also elected not to evacuate but a much different scene at stone Bridge High School in Loudoun County where students were evacuated and there was a heavy Police Presence until that building was also cleared. Bishop Oconnell High School was also evacuated. As for these george mason high students, the threats have them angry. I think its really despicable. I think, you know, it really interferes with our learning and like, you know, i was really trying to catch up on some work and thats really now in the way because now everything is delayed. Reporter and at Mclean High School you might remember this is the second bomb threat for them this week. They started the week with one on they did evacuate or rather that came in before school started, so the students didnt come to school that day. The man is said to be in what they call grave condition. Investigators say the shooting did not happen at t it may have started just over a mile away were told along 23rd street southeast. Someone shot a Star High School basketball player in the district shortly after a big win last night. The teen hit in the back is expected it survive. His lawyer and the judge agreed not to read the details allowed in the courtroom, and those charges are graphic. The feds say carraway not only made pornographic videos of nearly a dozen kids between the ages of 9 and 12, they say carraway engaged in graphic sexual acts with some of the children. He was an aide at judge sylvania woods elementary and is suspected of committing the crimes inside the school itself. Ju Jackie Bensen is on baker street in northeast to explain what prompted this chase and how they they caught the suspect. Jackie . Reporter well, pat, this was a wild chase. It leaves a motorist in a civilian car injured, a United States park Police Officer slightly injured. It ended up here in the 200 block of ken nil worth avenue. You can see theres a white lexus suv that the police are around and that vehicle is facing the wrong way. What were told is a park Police Officer on his way in to work in his cruiser saw that vehicle driving erratically on suitland parkway. He tried to stop it. The driver would not stop. He called in the tags, found out that vehicle was wanted in connection with a homicide in the district. A pursuit was on. As you said, it stretched from southeast here to northeast, a number of cars were struck, and then the man jumped out of the car and hid under the deck of one of the homes here in this area. At that point we understand what he is charged with assault on a Police Officer during the effort to apprehend him. As i said, one person, a civilian, who was in one of the several cars that were struck has been taken to a local hospital and, again, were working with d. C. An officer was injured when an atv ran over him in Prince Georges County. That officer was confronting a group of people riding atvs and dirt bikers who were disrupting traffic. Reporter this all played out in this parking lot here behind me. Im told there were at least a half a dozen of these illegal bikes. They had pulled in here to try to get away from police, and when that of the drivers, thats when he was run over. Look at that. Isnt that pretty weird . Just seeing the video was scary. One of them ran over a Police Officer landing him in the hospital. They just rode in here like they owned the place and were circling around really like a wild west movie. Circling around trying to figure out what their next step was going to be. Reporter police had spotted the bikes on allentown road and followed them to the mister sparkys business. When police got here all but one bike drove away. Then the man driving the green one was trapped and smashed into the National Capitol park Police Officer and his cruiser to get away. It was an attempted murder. You know. When you run somebody over, you know, its like a police chase. You start hitting reporter the atv driver hopped onto another illegal bike with one of his partners leaving this green atv behind. Now, police found the owner who was not involved. Now they want to identify who was driving it. Police released this photo of a person of interest who they believe was not the driver but was with the group that day. Our hope is at some point these folks that are doing this will realize its a safety issue not only for the community but for themselves as well because there are instances where they actually get injured and some cases killed because of their actions. A bill named for the Montgomery County officer killed by a suspected drunk driver is moving ahead in maryland. Law last night. Officer noah leotta was killed by a repeat drunk driver in december. The bill requires convicted drunk drivers to install ignition lock devices in their car. They would have to blow into tubes before the cars start. So the leukemia and Lymphoma Society have placed pictures, little poster size, on the landings as you go up to remind you of the people that are fighting cancer. Were only climbing 69 flights and theyre in the fight for their lives. My motherinlaw is lymphoma survivor, long term, over 15 years now.
