We talked to enough people within the organization to report rg3 is not starting. So coach, lets get this started. Colt will start. Were proposing for colt to be the starter. But were trying to get robert some reps and get him ready. Right now it looks like odds are colt will be the starter. Were trying to work robert into the lineup and trying to get him reps to get him ready to go, because ultimately, when its all said and done, when robert is healthy, robert is the starter. We understand that . Robert is the starter. Colt is not the starter. Colt could be the starter monday night, but when robert is healthy, hell be the starter. Right . Heres the hole. He keeps digging. Who is the starter . Its like a who is on first thing. Poor jay. Colt mccoy. Well help you out there. Mccoy making his first start since december of 2011 when he was with cleveland. He says hes a different quarterback now than when he was then. A little older, a little wiser. And now will have one game to prove it with his hometown crowd cheering him on. You know, ive got a lot of friends in texas that, you know, want to go to the game or have tickets to the game already. So it will be exciting. But for me, im not going to worry about all of that. My focus is on, you know, preparing this week, you know, learning about the cowboys defense, what we have to do to attack them, and i just dont want to get caught up in, you know, this huge opportunity thing. I just want to go out there and be who i am and who i am every day in here, be confident and go out and play the best football i can play. He said you want to know the difference between being between a third string back and starter, the number of ticket requests you get from friends and family. All of a sudden, Everyone Wants to check you out. He did have friends and family in town last sunday and thought they would see him on the bench and got a good show. The caps have no issue at who starts at center. Niklas backstrom notched his 500th point last night. In the first period, his pass to john carlson for a power play goal, 501 games to reach the milestone, faster than anyone else in his draft. Look at that. Backstrom happy with the win. His coach predicts his best is still yet to come, though. Nikki getting that point was pretty big. I mean, you know, almost a point a game in his career. You know, thats pretty impressive. And you look at what he might do in the next number of years, and it could be pretty impressive. Well, theres a good chance nationals manager Matt Williams will be the nl coach of the year and now his players are getting some prestigious recognition. Denard span and adam laroche both finalists for the 2014 gold glove awards. One of the better defensive teams in baseball thanks to those guys. Span has yet to win a gold glove in his career but makes plays like this look so routine. He says it be acknowledgment of the hard work he has put in day in and day out. Laroche won his first in 2012, making picks at first base and catching near the stands. Just makes it look so easy. Winners will be announced on november 4th. Over to georgetown hoops. Their Basketball Program getting ready for their new season and youll want to remember the name, devonte smith, big east preseason player of the year yesterday. He averaged over 17 points a game as a sophomore last season. Now with the departure of starks, smith will be counted upon to do even mor and he is certainly up for the challenge. Definitely, you know, putting, you know, a lot of emphasis on, you know, me taking the next step within my game. But its also a huge emphasis on georgetown, getting back to where we once were. So if anything, im more so worried about us winning than taking the program and putting it back to where it needs to be. A rebuilding year for the georgetown hoyas, always optimistic.
