The National Organization of black Law Enforcement executives interrupted its meeting here in washington to address the deadly attack. The motive for the shooting still not known but the leaders said revenge for Police Brutality is not the answer. They say they want to bridge the divide between police and the black community. Were standing here now outraged, were condemning those shootings in baton rouge. We have some olks to speak out now and not allow this rage or violence become a race war. One of the top leaders of the black Law Enforcement executives works in baton rouge. He says he knew the three officers killed. After the shooting, people stopped by the national Law Enforcement memorial in northwest d. C. To pay their respects. There is still a large memorial with flowers and candles and pictures of the fallen dallas Police Officers. Virginia senator tim kaine released a statement on the shooting calling it, quote, an atrocity, saying all must condemn it. He said his heart goes out to Law Enforcement everywhere. Tensions have been high in baton rouge since t a black man by white police. Alton sterlings aunt made an emotional plea for an end to all the violence. They are talking about their daddies and mommas not coming home no more. I got the same. Stop this killing.
