And there are enough similarities familiar to the three incidents that happened before that police are stepping up their patrols. The very first incident happened on april 7th including the 5200 block of eighth road south. 12 days later you hit another one on the 5200 block of 30th street north. Now what are the similarities . The children who were approached in both of these cases tried to get them to go with him. They we one was on april 23 and one that happened a week ago on april 25th in the 2500 block of north stafford. Again, the children were walking along when someone tried to get them to go with them. In one of the incidents, the suspect was seen driving away in a dark colored sedan. But the similarities are enough that police are stepping up patrols and want folks to be on aware this is happening. Theres no definitive link among the cases but many similarities that they want to be safe rather than sorry later. Derrick ward, news4. A highprofile sex assault and child Pornography Case is leading to changes in Prince Georges County our bureau chief Tracee Wilkins has more. Reporter after waiting, it is now clear what the School System is going to do to protect its students after a student aid is accused of sexually assaulting 20 kids at his school. They released the findings of a Student Aid Task force that was led by darlene duke. The task force has a mission to figure out how to shore up what Prince Georges County has in place in terms of safety to create something new. We know now the School System will immediately act to start an Accountability Office that will answ to the ceo of the Prince Georges County School System. They will also start a new curriculum teaching students from prek to 12th grade how to save themselves and protect themselves from sexual abuse. Hear now from the ceo School System. It is not necessarily not having procedures, its implementation. Its not not having policies necessarily but are they being implemented appropriately. The boy fell into the enclosure on saturday and was dragged by the gorilla. A trained Response Team shot and killed the gorilla. It means that the commonwealth has a solid system and processes in place to immediately house veterans who seek help. 600 Service Providers and advocates will be at the conference to talk about ways to achieve that functional zero status nationwide as part of a fiveyear plan with a focus on policy, jobs and housing.
