Firefighters have been unable to locate a missing person last seen in the Potomac River. D. C. Police say a person was reported in water near the key bridge around 11 30 last night. Several hours of searching by boat and on land turned up nothing. Officials are now calling it a recovery operation and in the investigation is in of d. C. Police. Lets head to politics now. President donald trump trying to move forward with his agenda today. The white house is hoping to rebound from last weeks failed push to replace obamacare. The president has also said that when obamacare does ultimately explode, which it will, we are going to be prepared to lead again and if democrats come on board with a plan down the road, wheel well come that. Reporter that idea of working with democrats is also something of a threat to the most conservative republicans in the house, the Freedom Caucus who refused to back the president s plan. And trump himself unleashed on twitter democrats are smiling in d. C. He wrote that the Freedom Caucus with the help of club for growth and heritage have saved planned parenthood and obamacare. And still ahead for congress, a looming deadline next month to stave off a possible government funding shutdown. And the president would like to move forward on a hugely complicated issue tax reform. And he may be looking for democratic support there too. We could work with them but i dont think theyre going to repeat the same mistake they made on trump care with tax reform. When she climbed the fence and set off an alarm at the u. S. Treasury building. It is right next to the white house. Now, wall was first arrested last tuesday. That was close to 11 00 p. M. She was trying to jump the white house fence but got caught up the secret service says, in her shoelaces. She was charged with unlawful entry and release and ordered to stay ay what. Friday she was spotted near Lafayette Park across the white house. She was arrested for violating that court order and held overnight. Saturday she was released again, only to make that third attempt sunday. Now, the when she was arrested here sunday morning, the secret service says wall was carrying a backpack a sleeping bag and some personal items. They did that check everything thoroughly found no weapons, no explosives, materials. Police have released surveillance tape and still photos of a person of interest wanted in the deadly of a woman in and northeast on last week. Now, police want you to take a good look at this man. Investigators want to talk to him about the death of Corrina Mehiel of North Carolina. Mehiels body was found on tuesday afternoon inside of a home on 14th street. Investigators say the person captured on surveillance tape may have been driving her car. That car went missing but it was later found. Its almost to heck with the American People well let this thing fail and when youre done well help you. Exactly. Why is it more being said and done to change that notice or to do something. I thought id come on channel five and start it this morning. Thats wrong. You took an oath to protect this country. And and to up hold all of the laws of this country. Obama care is the law of the land. You need to make sure it works. So what happens now . And to maureen earlier point because i thought it was an excellent one, where is the leadership coming out and saying reassuring the American Public that the Affordable Care act works in your best interest . I would love to see the white house and the Republican Leadership come to that conclusion and reach across the aisle and work with to us make improvements to obama care. Right. Still have only one insurance company. That was to before obama care by the way that wasnt caused by obama care. We need time prove that. We need competition. Competition gives you choice and brings down prices. So lets Work Together to make that happen. Representative nancy pelosi called trump said he made a rookie mistake that. Kind of language people are saying is divisive do we need to be hearing that or should we be doing things to unify and move this along and get some sort of consensus when it comes to helping the American People . I would like to see us move beyond politics and do whats in the countrys best interest. You know, improving the Entitlement Program we have on the books is would be smart policy and i hope upon reflection the new president with this political loss might draw that conclusion. That maybe working across the aisle as opposed to exclusively within your own ranks might have better out comes. Big issues coming up executive order being s how will democrats look to work with this administration . Were still hoping there could be some Common Ground. There could be on tax reform depending how open the white house is to hearing our ideas about that. Certainly Infrastructure Investment they can find some Common Ground. Because democrats definitely want to see significant improvements in the infrastructure of america so we stay competitive. So, you know, theyre still is the possibility of Common Ground. Its hard to find Common Ground, however, when you dont even make phone call to democrats that were not at the table and were not invited to be party to the drafting of legislation, then dobb surprised if you find unified democratic opposition. It is right next to the white house. Now last tuesday, it was close to 11 00 p. M. When she was trying to jump the white house fence. She didnt make it over though. She got caught up in her shoe laces. She was charged with unlawful entry and released with orders to stay away until her next Court Appearance but friday she was spotted again near Lafayette Park across from the white house. There she was arrested for violating that court order and held overnight. But saturday she was released again only to make a third attempt sunday. And during that arrest sunday she also had with her according to the secret service a backpack a sleeping bag and some personal items they said no sign of any weapons Hazardous Materials or explosives so again she will go before a judge this morning facing once again charges of unlawful entry and a violating a court order perhaps maybe a judge will hold her a little longer this time. The culprit could actually be your childs lunch box and joining us now with more dr. Shilpi agalwar with an eye he hi opening look what you may be sending to school with your childs good morning you guys. This was eye opening for me included. Full disclosure this includes your own childs lunch box. Coming straight from the doctor you guys no one is exempt here. The thing with these lunch boxes all these reusable stuff is that were trying to do better but we seldom clean any of these fabrics. We put things like fruits and vegetables which carry their own bacteria and also they can make us sick with things like diarrhea, constipation you can start feeling vomiting and even skin infections. Okay. So lets really show people what youre talking about. Okay. So i swabbed my own sons lunch box here, and this is an example of one of of those reusable type of bags we throw sandwich in there. I squad it and this is what i got. The middle one . The middle one. The worst looking one. Things like mold spores, e. Coli and Fecal Bacteria as well. So anything and everything is fair game in these lunch boxes and the main reason is, that we but they leak bacteria. Bacteria is really everywhere. But the problem these lunch boxes make a very prime environment because theyre d damp. Theyre dark. Zipped up. Theyre moist. This aggravates me so bad i was just talking to these ladies about this before we went on when i was originally packing my childs lunch i put it in brown paper bag, sip log bags everything that can be thrown away and i was like, got the glare, right . You need to be using reusable container saving the environment and while i understand theres got to be a little bit of balance here. We just throw everything away i didnt have this problem. Youre absolutely right. For the brown paper bags much more sanitary. But if you are going to use any of this reusable stuff the two main ways to help you, first a lot of hand washing. Finding with all the bacteria that were isolating that its probably because people arent washing their hands before they prepare the childs lunch. You too. Little one exactly making sure your child at school is washing their hands before they sit down for lunch. If they go to the bathroom and th a lot of contamiants, and wash out your lunch bags once a week and wipe it down every day with antibacterial wipes. Really . I would think the antibacterial would get on the apple and then that would be problem because youre like e eating that. Versus soap and water. If you wipe it out and let it air overnight you eliminated that residue. I want to put it in the dish washer on sanitize and kill everything. Right. Speaking of dishwasher and sanitize, probably what we should be doing with this water bottle but weve got chris water bottle right her. Producer chris in full disclosure. The lunch box provided by matt. Another producer. Swab both of them and see what grows. So well get i just know right now water bottle will be super nasty. Umhmm. Right. Get all up in there and see what comes out of there. And so when are we going to get results for this. In two days well check back in and ill show you guys what grows and i can bet its going to be a lot worse than that. I hear chris out sick thursday 49 day. With good reason. [ laughter ] the lunch box were swabbing all in there. So thats really how did you your own test on your own child. Y that was my own childs lunch box. I have a question. Is there anything about these with this kind of fabric and these zippers kids tend to use now that is worse than the Old School Metal lunch boxes that we used to use . Right. I used to have a met toll one, too. Me too. Those are easier to clean. I think that you can put soap and water and run that under the regular kitchen sing so to me thats cutly more san teas tea these because their fabric youre never really going put thunder the sink. So unless youre tossing this in the laundry you should be doing once a week in the laundry with your kitchen towels. Really . Dont do it with underwear and stuff. Have you ever done that. Have you ever laundered your lunch box. Thats exactly how you can help to keep it clean. The best way. I did switch from this kind to like a plastic, um, it looks like a lunch bag. You know what im saying. That is easier to clean because you dont have any problem putting it under the water. Exactly. Neglect that you can actually submerge in water, warm soapy water, thats going to be better option for you than these really fan seize ones you never want to worry bout shape and distorting it you need to be able to toss that into the sink or into the laundry machine. Whats the key with the Water Bottles . I feel like obviously a lot of people carry a around Water Bottles and i do in that case i do understand the need for us not to put so many plastic Water Bottles in landfills and stuff like that. Whats the key there . I think the Reusable Water Bottle is definitely great for the environment and we should all be using that but cleaning it fish the and frequently is the most important thing. So if you this in the dishwasher theres a sanitize cycle even if you dont sanitize, putting it in the dishwasher will help it because that high heat kills everything. It makes it a lot cleaner small crevices where mold accumulates. How often . Like every time you use it. Every day, right. I would probably recommend at least ever couple of days before reusing for the next day. Chris, remember you got to rinse this out with warm soapy water before you put it in for the next day. The problem its only been sitting on his desk for a couple months. I saw it to months ago much the problem all of this little stuff up there getting the straw clean. Hard to clean. The whole thing is really hard to do. All of these parts are removable in this type of thing so you should be separating all of this, pulling this out and running the water soapy water through there.
