lindsay milbourne here. nice and cold this morning. lindsay got that winter chill with us. back tomorrow morning. back through most of the week and remember the clear skies today. we are getting rid of that and bringing the clouds and eventual bringing the clouds and eventually some rain and many more dry hours. i assure you. with breaks up to 54 degrees in st. Pete. usf marine science cam looks lovely with the slight breeze out of the northeast, and Florida State fairgrounds where the gates have opened. we are gearing up for cool day there with lowend rain chances. the rain that we do see eventual the rain that we do see eventually will be pretty light in nature starting out as sprinkles. many more 50s this hour. where it is mild as 54 in brandon and st. Petersburg. where it is cool as 51 in Wesley Chapel and wauchula. there is the rain. it is spotty and very light and still a ways away, 40 to 50 Miles Per Hour offshore, by second half of the afternoon, we will increase the moisture, with it bring our rain chance to more like 40 . the rain will be light and in nature. and how long it will stay cool coming up. all right, new this morning. one person is dead, seven others have been shot at a club club rayne, a strip club on north nebraska avenue. fox 13s crystal clark is live there for much of the morning. anything developing . well, at this point alcides, police are looking for a suspect in all this. happened around 2 00 this morning and still no one has been arrested because they tell us there was just too much chaos going on. when someone started shooting inside club rayne, people started running in every direction. outthe door, shoes, jewelry, everything laying in the street right behind us, and police to is he dhur scene start gathering evidence. now is the process of trying to bring those people back to find the ones who maybe saw what happened who have clues into exactly how this shooting occurred. now from what we are hearing, someone came into the club around 2 00 in the morning and start opening fire. police say there were some sort that led up to it. but that has not completely been confirmed. what we do know though that eight people were shot. seven of them were taken to local hospitals to be treated, and one person was killed. at this point, family and friends on scene are telling us he is a 21yearold male. and we are also hearing that man was rolling on his pericope on the phone the moment as those gunshots began to ring out. police tell us they are reviewing that tape as well, hoping it will show them something in terms of who was behind ma gun and pulling the trigger. again right now no suspect has been named. now from what police are telling us as well, there may have been some Surveillance Video inside this club. we do see cameras outside of it; however, we have not found out for sure if those cameras are working. i asked them what are the next step. are they face a fine for having so many people inside. 300 at the time of the shooting i know that we have been out here before. we had some issues here before. and sounds like it is pretty crowded. i dont know what their capacity is, but we will be checking into that. that will result in a fine of some sort, but it happened before. if a club has enough problems, we look into possibly closing it down. we are not there. i dont know what the future is going to hold for club rayne. from what we can see this morning, club rayne is closed off. it has been closed since that shooting occurred despite the open sign still flashing outside of the club. we did see what looked like owners or workers coming in and out doing a bit of cleanup work. we knocked on the door the front door and the back door, and no one is answering just yet. obviously they are not ready to speak on this because there could be possibly a legal issue following all this. and many people, those were not shot were also trampled in that process. everyone was trying to get thought one small door in the front. obvious three is something that many people are following up on today. next step is going to be for them. if it is safe to reopen again. police will probably give them the goahead more than likely and for police, the main concern is trying to find that person pulling the trigger and getting them off the street. anyone no knows anything is asked to call tampa police. alcides. alcides crystal in tampa, thank you so much. on the scene of a fatal stabbing investigation not too far away from that shooting. took place around 11 00 on east 20th avenue. police is a suspect in custody. traffic in both directions at the intersection of east floribraska avenue has been shut down as the investigation continues. and big news coming out of one buc place. their firstround draft pick their firstround draft pick proved to be a big winner. trying to find a motive this morning but say the killings could have occurred during a robbery or a domestic incident. officers found the bodies of six family members, two men, two women, and two children on tuesday afternoon. police initially said it was possible. one person killed the other five before taking their own life. and there is no sign of forced entry. the medical Examiners Office has ruled the deaths homicides. a friend of a murdered 13yearold girl in virginia say 13yearold girl in virginia says she went to the police with concerns about the teens inappropriate relationship with an older man before her death. blacksburg middle schooler cari cook said 13yearold Nicole Lovell talked to guys on social media and believed she was more comfortable talking to boys online than at school. she saw a screen lovell with a guy that looked older than 18 guy that looked older than 18. she went to a School Official to explain. that resource officer told cook that her concern would be looked into. but a month after, she is disappeared. i remember this one guy. he looked older than 18. and there were there were dating, and it was yeah, it was just posting screen shots of how they student nicole keepers is under arrest accused of helping him dispose of that 13yearolds body. hundreds of people attended a funeral in utah to pay their respects for an arizona rancher. he was one of the armed citizens involved in a standoff at a wild wildlife refuge in oregon. officers shot him during a traffic stop during a remote highway after they say he reached for a loaded gun. this is a bizarre freak accident. that is what investigators are calling this in arizona after a man apparently fell in a sinkhole. rescue you workers you have worked through the evening to recover a dead body of a farmworker found inside that hole. the 15footwide hole formed when the man was working. witnesses reported seeing him get out of the truck and disappear a short time after. a in california, a doctor is going to prison for at least 30 years after three of her patients overdosed on prescription drugs. lisa sane was convicted of murder in this case, and prosecutors say this is the first time Call the Verizon Center for customers with disabilities at from tampa bays number one news station, this is good day tampa bay. alcides good morning. thank you for joining us this saturday for good day tampa bay i am alcides segui. we will get to the forecast in just a minute, but first a quick check of the headlines. al albertsons wow, disturbing. very disturbing video. it appears appears to be video from inside club ray ne, the strip club on north nebraska avenue this morning. you heard what sounds like gun you heard what sounds like gunshots. now seven people have been hurt in that incident. one person dead. it is important to know that we do not know how that person is doing, who shot that video. we have been covering this story all morning long. fox 13s crystal clark has been following this story as well and joins us live in tampa with more on this. and crystal, you cant you cant see it. but it is clearly disturbing. reporter yes, definitely disturbing, alcides. especially knowing that according to witnesses close to 300 people inside that small club you see behind me when those shots were fired. earlier on periscope and as you said, scary hearing those gun said, scary hearing those gunshots and screams that followed. family and friends are telling us so far, there is not confirmed with police, but the person who was rolling on that video is actually one of the victims who was shot. i want to you take a look at the scene when we first arrived around 2 00 this morning. that is when the first 911 call came in. from what police are saying, someone came inside the club with some sort of altercation with others inside and then started firing off shots. unclear exactly how many shots were fired. we heard what sounded like knife that video clip you just heard, but we do know today that at least eight people were injured. we dont know if all of them were gunshot victims. many were trampled trying to get out of that club after shots rang out. eight people shot so far. only one person was killed in all of this. their family and friends were devastated early this morning standing by the scene. many of them were not comfortable talking to us just that they lost a loved one. we are told a 21yearold man and again, we are not going to release his name because tampa police have not confirmed that victims identity with us. i did speak with a woman that worked for the club, on a typical night, a friday night. it is extremely busy there. they had organize arguments in the past but nothing to this level. take a listen. they are frisked every time they go in and go out. how he snuck that gun in, i dont know, because this has never happened at this place. it has always been safe. reporter as you just heard normally guns are not allowed in this place. weapons of any kind are pro hinted and the guard at the door are typically checking for that. in all this, someone was able to get a gun in overnight. Tampa Police Say although she was saying this is a fairly calm place, they have been out in the past responding to other incidents like arguments and things happening inside the club club. has heard possible drug be ativity happening here. that is not confirmed just yet. we are working to know the history of club rayne as well. again, seven people are in the hospital this morning. one victim is deceased and all this video seem to have played out on periscope showing the moment that shooting was happening, alcides. alcides very disturbing when you see and hear that video video. crystal clark in tampa, thank you. buck fires in quarterback Jameis Winston has been named the year. awarded on by fans via nfl. M. , you can come in if you are not watching the big game. one get one free after 4 00. as we look at our other specials during the week. a lot of free things to do. we hope everyone comes out. well, we have 115 rides. and that is actually one of the largest in the country. we have some new rides. we have the disco. we have the hurricane. we have the stampede. but we also have some new family rides too. and thats where you can get on with your children. and so we have the super cyclone roller coaster. we have the fiesta wheel. so, again, we have a family mid midway. we have the kiddy midway and a really big midfor the teenagers and adults. you have got to have that. that is where all the fun begins that is where all the fun with us. looks like a lot of fun. and a half. fox 13 will be out there for the meet and greet from 11 to 1 00. see you in a little bit. thank you. well, it has been one week since gasparilla for most of us. a distant memory now, but sadly those beads they are still there, in the grass and in the water. i met with two young Harbor Island residents who do their part to help the environment by fishing for gasparilla beads. here is this weeks earth watch. they are doing by pa luting the earth. reporter the gasparilla invasion is a tampa tradition and so are the colorful strands of beads. at least 50 of them end up in the water. reporter in 2014, they start reporter in 2014, they started a tradition of their own, fishing for gasparilla beads. so we were regular fishing one day, and we saw some beads on the bottom so we decided to try catch them so our dad rigged up a special a special hook. a treble hook with a big weight continue to that goes all hopefully it snags the beads. i got some. you dont even look and cast and reel like you would normally in fishing. most of the time anyway. reporter odds are in their favor. yesterday we caught about ten pounds. about two and a half hours. two and a half. yeah. reporter the paint on the beads concern them. arsenic, lead, cadnium. they are very, very toxic for the different animals. reporter some animals mistake the beads for food. the birds they like shiny things, and you can either get poisoned or just feel full and not any real nutritious food. you notice a few dead fish bloating around here. like a mullet earlier and we saw like a red fish oring so. reporter some of the bead findings are shiny and new, but others show their age. at least five years. some of these probably ten years. they are really old. they have barnacles on them and once you lose one species an entire ecosystem can collapse. better than having them sitting there. the ultimate goal to stop throwing beads into the water. making an alternative. yeah, making an alternative. lindsay what a wonderful thing those boys are doing. the brothers fish for beads believe it or not year round and next year they want to form a gasparilla fishing tournament. alcides a great idea. a woman meets her mother after a decadeslong search. it filled my heart. alcides i bet. Where shopping is a pleasure. it is a reunion 82 years in the making. a spring hill woman just met her of looking for her. really an incredible story, a story tugging at the heartstrings all around the world. fox 13s josh cascio has the details on the reunion, how they thought they would never happen. reporter moments frozen in time. these happy times, really happy times. reporter it is the 1930s, and Betty Morrell is growing up with loving adoptive parents on long island. i had a very, very happy childhood with a mother that my name to her was precious. reporter for years, that was enough, but then in her 20s after her adopted parents passed away, she began a search that would last some 50 years. she was looking for her birth mother lena pierce. she had betty, e va may then, when she was just 13 years old. i love her. she was my mother. she gave me life. reporter but her search would turn up dead end after dead end. it wasnt until september that they found her mom living in pennsylvania. she is 96. and there was more. my granddaughter texted me a picture, and i said well, who is this. she said its your mother. and your sister. all my life i wanted a sister and a brother. reporter turns out she would have four sisters and two brothers. last month, she met some of them in new york along with her mom. it was their first meeting in 82 years. and she just broke down and cried, and i was just smiling. i mean, it was it was such a happy thing. it was amazing and the people that we met, all of her family members were so warm and welcoming. it felt like we just belonginged there in the first place. reporter a family portrait decades in the making. time standing still. it was a great experience because finally i felt complete. i am just as happy as can be. alcides betty says she here in the city, parking is hard to find.
