So one man is dead in connection to a double shooting and crash investigation, lets guess to fox 29s Jennifer Joyce for that story. Jennifer good morning. Reporter good morning, guys. We have two men shot, one is dead, one in critical but stable condition at einstein medical center. Police believe the shooting likely led to this crash that you see. They were called to north american and clarkson streets for report of a car into a house. They didnt find out about the shooting until at least a hour later. Police say it was about 12 45 this morning when they arrived to find a conscious 20 year old man bleeding from the head. He got out of the minivan and was talking to police about the accident. But he never mentioned that he was shot in the head. He also never mentioned that he had a friend in the car who was shot dead. Police say they are talking to witnesses who are telling them that there were five people in the van when it crashed, three took off. Several witness that is are being interviewed at homicide did tell first responding officers that they saw at least three individuals fleeing from the immediate area of the minivan. So there is a possibility that those three individuals one of them may have been the shooter, and the shooting may have took place inside of the minivan. The circumstances are still unclear. Police found a revolver under the back seat, and also found bags of what appears to be marijuana. Reporter we got our answers and the executive chief jim with us now, two dead, man and woman in their 60s, and policeman trying to save them, minor injuries. Hell be okay. At 1 25, we received multiple 911 calls from the neighbors, come to location, aware one Police Officer prior to our arrival prepared to enter the dwelling to rescue occupants. Police officer sustained injuries. Some burns, he was transported prior to our arrival by his coworkers to the hospital. Firefighters get on location, they encounter heavy fire on the first Floor Companies enter the dwelling, during the process of extinguishing the fire, we find two occupants in the home, on the first floor. And we see over your Left Shoulder this is a typical south philly rowhouse, two floors completely gutted, and that gives you an indication that there was no alarms usually sounding, and nobody had Early Warning to get out or call you guys before it got out of control . Thats correct. As we went through the property, we did not finds any indication of working smoke alarms. So with the cold weather what we say all the time, working smoke alarms, Early Warning you know, alert you to the fire, gets you out then call 911.
