Trial date set for Leigh Corfman defamation lawsuit against Roy Moore

A judge on Thursday set a trial date in the defamation lawsuit against former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore filed by the woman who claimed she was sexually molested by Moore as a teen.
Circuit Judge John Rochester set a Nov. 1 date for the trial in the case brought by Leigh Corfman, whose 2017 allegations against Moore upended his Senate campaign a month before voters went to the polls in the special election. Moore narrowly lost the election to Doug Jones.
Moore has repeatedly denied the allegations made by Corfman and other women first reported by The Washington Post.
