AN East End woodland park is to benefit from £2.3 million of new facilities.
Work is now underway at the popular Cuningar Loop Woodland Park in Clyde Gateway, which has seen more than half a million visitors since it first opened.
The park, which spans 37 acres of woodland on the banks of the River Clyde in Rutherglen, will see a new Bothy and lookout tower The Tur being built.
Clyde Gateway’s Chief Executive Ian Manson said: “The Cuningar Loop woodland park is a much-loved facility and during lockdown, it has provided a real haven for local residents to carry out exercise.
