U.S. jobless claims rise for third straight week amid tight labor market

WASHINGTON, May 19 (Xinhua) -- Initial jobless claims in the United States last week rose for the third straight week amid a tight labor market, reaching 218,000, the U.S. Labor Department reported on Thursday.
