Good morning Memphis, where rain is forecast to return after a flawless weather weekend, we're entering week two of the "M" bridge closure and preparing for the Grizzlies' appearance in the play-in game Wednesday.
But, first, we're talking about outreach to get more vaccine information to Memphis residents.
"Have you got your vaccine yet?" called Harold Collins, director of Shelby County's office of reentry, to a resident as he walked by, brochure in hand. "I got mine — both shots!"
Collins was one of about 15 volunteers, some employees of Shelby County Government and others members of Mayor Lee Harris' newly formed COVID-19 community council, who took to the streets of South Memphis in the "Get the Facts, Trust the Vax” campaign Friday, our Katherine Burgess reports.
