Versatile Trey Porter Catching Eye of College Coaches

Keep an eye on Trey Porter. The Ankeny Centennial junior is a hidden gem. 
At 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, the Class of 2022 member boasts excellent athleticism and upside. Speed is a big part of his game. 
In June, Porter ran the 400 meters in 50.5 seconds at the Iowa Distance Carnival meet in June at Humboldt (IA) High. That time came with limited training and a prep track season wiped out by the pandemic. He finished the 100 in 11.2 and the 200 in 22.7 at that event. 
On the gridiron, Porter helps out all over the place. He rushed for a team-high 582 yards (6.3 YC) and five touchdowns as Centennial's top running back and added seven receptions for 93 yards. He averaged 22.3 yards on eight kick returns, and contributed six solo tackles and an interception on defense for a squad that finished 2-6 but won two of its last four.
