The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
April 4 – April 10, 2021
On 04/04/2021 at 10:25 pm, an officer responded to the 700 block of north Main Street in regards to the theft of a motor vehicle. With the help of a tip from a citizen, the Cherry County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle north of town. The vehicle had sustained significant damage. Suspects have been identified and warrants will be sought.
On 04/06/2021 at 7:45 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Hall and 3rd Streets. A juvenile male from Valentine was cited for a stop sign violation.
On 04/07/2021 at 1:30 pm, an officer was requested to respond to the 200 block of west highway 20 in regards to a hit and run accident. A 40 year old South Dakota female was cited for leaving the scene of an accident.
