Don Munro was just getting on a plane to Tasmania when he heard the news. His beloved Lennox Head, the most beautiful unsung surf spot in NSW, was about to be inundated with thousands of visitors.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Pandemic. Bushfires. Business across NSW needs a boost. But this was the World Surf League about to bring a leg of its premier competition to this peaceful spot at the worst possible time.
