Septa cameras helped capture a man suspected of trying to lure a man into his van. Authorities in darby borough arrested isaac dougba minutes after they say he tried to abduct a 13yearold girl. The cameras were a renewed partnership for safety between the borough and the agency. A new jersey man accused of murdering seven people in what prosecutors call an unprecedented rampage is scheduled to appear in court on monday. Prosecutors announce murder charges against todd west yesterday, arrested him in allentown this week. Investigators say in may west shot his kusen to death in elizabeth, new jersey. June, he murdered three more men in elizabeth and on sunday prosecutors say, west shot and killed a man in easton they say 45 minutes later he shot and killed a man and a woman in allentown where he was arrested on monday. He was a total different kid a couple weeks ago. With this happened i cant even understand why. Prosecutors believe the killings in easton and allentown were random. Two other men are also charged in those murders. Police say one of them bought ammunition and the other drove as west shot at people. Happening today, a Philadelphia Community makes its final push to save st. Laurentius Catholic Church from demolition. Nbc 10s katy zachry is live in fishtown explaining whats happening today that could save the church from the wrecking ball. I guess you could say this is a hail mary. It is a hail mary. It could save st. Laurentius. Thats the operative word. Behind me this is st. Laurentius Catholic Church. Its been around since the 1800s. Later this morning, the Historical Commission will vote whether or not the church is a historical site. Several dozen supporters will be bused to the meeting in center city. Theyll be wearing shirts like this that say save st. Laurentius. This supporter lives in wisconsin and many have joined the fight over social media. Church, which is now close merged with a nearby parish over a year ago because of structural problems, though it faces demolition. Supporters pulled out a final stop, a hail mary if you will, they hope a yes vote from the Historical Society this morning will save the church. It turns out its neighbors do too, saying it shaped the area. Its nice having a neighborhood feel. Getting to know your neighbors people waving and saying hello. You think of a big city you think of it as being impersonal. This provides more of a sense of community. No question theres a lot of history here. A spokesperson for the philadelphia archdiocese which owns the church says that even if it is named a historical site that does not mean the building as you see here will stay intact. There are still many structural problems as you can see. Those structural problems have to be addressed. Quite frankly theres just not the money to repair them.
