Burlington, IA- Eagle View Community Health Center has announced its transition of its School-Based Health Clinic to Community Health Centers of Southeast Iowa. According to a statement from Eagle View, they had been struggling to qualified Behavioral Health providers and support staff to manage the clinic. The shortage contributed to the decision to transition the care of patients to the west Burlington-based CHCSEIA, which will take over the care of both behavioral health and primary care effective October 31st. Shannon Courson, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Eagle View commented "This was not an easy decision to make, but we believe that this is in the best interest of the SBHC patients, and we are confident that a seamless transition will take place, ensuring the best possible health care for the staff, students, and families of the Burlington Community School District. We firmly believe that everyone should have access to quality, affordable, integrated, medical, behavioral health, and dental care regardless of income levels and we are assured that the values of CHCSEIA align closely with our mission." Antonio Flores, Chief Executive Officer of CHCSEIA commented "I am excited about our partnership with Eagle View and look forward to continuing care for students, families and staff of the Burlington Community School District." A letter will be sent to all patients of the school clinic along with a release of information form that will need to be signed and returned to allow CHCSEIA access to patients' medical records. Current school clinic patients who wish to continue their care with Eagle View can become established at one of their additional locations in Oquawka, IL or Stronghurst, IL.
