The light at the end of the tunnel is getting a little brighter for Wethersfield students and staff.
A district transition team has been working on a plan, to be submitted to the school board at its March meeting, identifying the barriers to returning to full in-person learning, ways to overcome those barriers, and when the transition from blended in-person and remote learning could safely take place. The team is made up of 12 staff members representing each of the buildings, special education, food service, board of education and administrators.
Discussing the transition team's progress thus far at its February meeting, the school board decided that if a plan can be developed to overcome the barriers and ensure the safety of students and staff, it would look at transitioning the district back to daily in-person attendance for students starting the Monday after spring break, March 29.
