WOONSOCKET – The city of Woonsocket has launched an online registry for residents interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt, the registry launched around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2. Residents can enter their information to be added to a waiting list of potential recipients for when the city receives more COVID-19 vaccine supply.
"Anyone who wants to register can register. As the state expands the age bracket, they'll already be in the queue," Baldelli-Hunt said on Wednesday.
As of Wednesday morning, she said, 425 residents had already signed up.
The registry is available by going to www.woonsocketri.org and clicking on "COVID-19 information." Residents will be asked to provide their name, age, address and other information. Baldelli-Hunt said the process is expected to take around four to five minutes.
