When the fire broke out inside of her home, her son in law, and other people were inside, and, also their son. Neighbors ran to help them, running over with a ladder they were able to get out antoine and they were able to get out his son as well. The fire broke ought around 8 00 this morning in the 600 block of ren, four people were in the home at the time including six twoyear olds, and a third grade teacher at shawmont school. The son in law antoine saying this about the beloved educator tonight. Everybody who came in contact with her was happy to be around her, you know she treated everybody like their own child. Education was her thing. So i mean it is hard, we who a great person. Reporter he was inside at the time of the fire with his wife son and mother in law. All they could see at the time was smoke. Down the street, these neighbors heard screaming for help. I put my pants on, got dressed ran out and you could see them hanging out the window yelling. And then, we could get out the extension ladder from the van and we, because there was no Fire Department at that time. Reporter neighbors helped hawkins son in law and grandson and then Fire Department arrived rescuing her daughter. Hawkins was rushed to temple in cardiac arrest and with third degree burns. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. Tonight, all ready, this Roxborough Community has gathered, bins full of donations and neighbors who ran into action just cant stop thinking about the chaotic morning. Honestly, we wish that lady would have survived. That is all that counts. It is, we wish we could have done more that is all. In mercer county, new Jersey Police have Just Announced they have made an arrest in the homicide that took place inside of an apple bees restaurant last week this is man police say pulled the trigger. He is 27 yearold noel powell, the third. Powell is accused of walking up to the bar at the restaurant just after midnight on november 14th and shooting 23 yearold devon smith in the head.
