Four o days violence, four days of since thursday seven people have been murdered in the district including 11yearold karon. Bro saturday Police Charged 29yearold tony mclamb with killing the boy. According to charging documents mclamb told police he was trying to settle disputes between neighborhood kids, including hif girriends children and the victim and that he had had t gun because his brother had recently been h cant recall such a violent four days. In recent memory i dont, so this is particularly disturbing to ha this many homicides over the course of the weekend. Reporter today newsham and mayor muriel bowrleaded with residents to turn in anyone who has an illegal gun, even if it means sending a loved one to jail. Prosecutors also said t that defendant voluntarily confessed to the shooting, but, again, he said that he wasnt trying to shoot the young boy, that in selfdefense. He thought the driver of the car had a gun, but when police asked him to produce his gun he refused. They said he had a 14yearold boy try to sell the gun on the street the day after the murder. The Commonwealth Attorney says those arrested are advised to appeal their cases to circuit court, a legal step that leadsh to cases ultimately being dismissed if they have no prior report and complete community service.
