Xaloy moving bimetallic barrel production to Virginia from Ohio
Xaloy is returning barrel production to Pulaski, Va.
Xaloy Holdings LLC, the 102-year-old manufacturer of screws, barrels and components for injection molding and extrusion machinery, is moving its bimetallic barrel manufacturing operation from Ohio to Virginia.
The company's new private equity owner plan to invest $1.75 million into a former 100,000-square-foot Xaloy plant on a 30-acre site in Pulaski County. Most operations at the site were relocated in 2016.
Altair Investments acquired Xaloy in February from Westlake, Ohio-based Nordson Corp. Founded in 1929, Xaloy has one of the largest screw and barrel design portfolios.
