Construction is continuing on two projects in Yucca Valley: the Yucca Trail Safety Improvement Project and the Palomar Avenue Widening Project. The Yucca Trail project will widen Yucca Trail to 12-foot travel lanes from Warren Vista Avenue to Palomar Avenue, add 8-foot shoulders, and a 12-foot center striped median with left-turn lanes at intersections. Warren Vista will also be widened at the intersection at Yucca Trail to include left-hand turns and turn lanes. The Palomar Avenue Project will widen Palomar Avenue, replace traffic signals, and will repave and re-stripe the traffic lanes. Both projects are expected to be completed in February.
