Police officers are upset by the Government s funding of
a gang-led methamphetamine programme and the NZ Police
Association has totally rejected the proposed $2.75m funding
for gang-led meth programme.
Prime Minister Jacinda
Ardern defended the $2.75 million used (from proceeds of
crime funding), which was given to a Mongrel Mob-led meth
rehabilitation programme. She admitted that she had been one
of the ministers involved in making the decision to fund
it.
The Prime Minister stated that she was comfortable using millions from crime proceeds to fund
gang-led meth rehab
However, the New Zealand Police
Association is opposed to the payment.

In July 2020, the Government launched the Three Waters
Reform Programme – a three-year programme to reform local
government three waters service delivery
arrangements.
This reform programme builds on the
progress made through the Three Waters Review and
establishment of Taumata Arowai.
Taumata Arowai will
be the new water services regulator for New Zealand which
will be committed to ensuring all communities have access to
safe drinking water and have an oversight role in protecting
the environment from the impacts of waste and
stormwater.
The Ministry of Health is the current
drinking water regulator. Taumata Arowai will become fully

facilities at Eden Park ahead of upcoming Women’s World
Cup events.
Eden Park is a confirmed venue for the
Rugby World Cup 2021, the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup
2022, and a proposed venue for matches of significance for
the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand
2023™.
The upgrade focuses on the redevelopment of
player facilities in Eden Park’s West and South Stands,
including accessible showers, toilets and baby change
tables, to make them gender neutral and of a standard

Wine drinkers have lots to look forward to as wine show
season gets underway and wines from some of New Zealand’s
latest and greatest vintages are put to the taste

The New World Wine Awards judging starts today
in Marlborough, with an independent panel of experts
spending three full days pouring over more than 1,100 wine
entries. After swirling, sniffing, sipping and spitting,
their scores will whittle the field down to the best of the
best: the Top 50 wines that will be available for $25 or
less in New World supermarkets nationwide.
