Salesforce, the global leader in CRM, today announced
Datacom and LavaBox have joined its Cloud Reseller Program.
The Cloud Reseller Program, launched in early 2021, provides
customers with the flexibility and choice to procure based
on their specific business needs.
The Cloud Reseller
Program allows a partner to offer Salesforce licenses
directly to a customer via a reseller agreement. Aimed
primarily at small and medium size businesses, the program
expands the ability of Salesforce’s partner ecosystem to
support customers in their digital
transformations.

A plan to eliminate hepatitis C in New Zealand, reducing
liver cancer and the need for liver transplants, has been
released today by Associate Minister of Health Dr Ayesha
Verrall.
“Around 45,000 New Zealanders have
hepatitis C, but only around half know they have it,” said
Ayesha Verrall.
“Symptoms often don’t appear until
much of the damage has been done. Without treatment, most
people will develop progressive liver damage. Hepatitis C is
the leading cause of liver transplants in New Zealand, and
the second leading cause of liver cancer - behind hepatitis
B.

The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) - Te Mana Tātai
Hokohoko – has formally censured Wellington-based
financial services firm FoxPlan Ltd, after one of its
nominated representatives provided services he was not
permitted to give and other representatives offered services
to clients they were not permitted to give.
Following
a monitoring review in late 2020, the FMA found one of
FoxPlan’s Auckland-based nominated representatives¹ had
provided an investment planning service to some clients
since mid-2018. Under the Financial Advisers Act (FA Act)
2008, only Authorised Financial Advisers (AFA) were
permitted to provide this service, which involves designing
a plan based on an individual’s financial situation and

New Zealand Governor-General Dame Patsy Reddy GNZM, QSO,
DStJ has been made a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute
of Directors (IoD).
The honour is the highest the IoD
can award, reserved for directors who have made a sustained
and prominent contribution to governance, business and their
communities.
Dame Patsy has been an influential leader
in a number of fields from becoming the first female partner
at law firm Watts and Patterson (now Minter Ellison Rudd
Watts) in 1982, to sitting on the boards of some of New
Zealand’s largest commercial and arts
organisations.
