Telangana Govt Decentralises IT Corridor at Uppal Park With Free WiFi Zone  May 06, 2021, 14:14 IST The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is developing a theme park that is spread over 2,000 sq. yards near the Uppal junction. This space has exclusive areas marked for adults and children where they can relax, plug in their laptops and work using a free wifi facility, take a quick walk break and breathe in some fresh air as well.  Many highlights of the park make it different from other parks situated in the city. The construction cost of the park which includes a walking track, washroom, plenty of greenery, two fountains, a selfie point, a treehouse with slides for kids, flowering plants and colourful illumination is around Rs 1 crore.

The official death toll count, however, rose by one to 52 from 51. The total number of active cases rose to 77,127 across Telangana and the majority of cases continued to be from the twin cities and suburbs. Director of Public Health G. Srinivasa Rao said in the official bulletin issued on Thursday that the fatality rate across TS is about 0.54% less than the national average of 1.1%. The number of people recovered is 6,551 and it means about 3.96 lakh persons have recovered from coronavirus, the recovery rate being 83.24% and more than the national average of 82% whereas the total number of those infected from last year is around 4.76 lakh.

GHMC Identifies Nearly 1,500 Residents With Covid Symptoms

May 06, 2021, 14:40 IST As per the orders of Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, a door-to-door survey has been taken up in the GHMC limits. A total of 641 teams, comprising field-level workers from the GHMC and the Health Department, covered 40,000 households in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits. A total of 1,487 individuals were found to have fever and other Covid-19 symptoms. The individuals were given Covid kits and have been advised to stay in home isolation. The teams of field level workers comprise an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM), an Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA), and an official from the Entomology wing of the GHMC.

Updated: Share Article AAA As part of the ongoing fever survey, a measure to control COVID-19, 700 teams of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) surveyed 47,582 households on Thursday under its jurisdiction. As per the directions of the State government, the GHMC started the survey on Monday to find out those having the virus symptoms so that treatment could be given immediately and stop further spread of the virus. COVID tests were conducted to 18,765 out-patients who visited the Basti Dawakhanas, Urban Health Centres and others. Officials said that the team comprises an auxiliary nursing midwife (ANM), an ASHA worker and a GHMC worker, who visit the households and check all the members in a family.

(Twitter) Hyderabad: In a bid to tackle the spread of the second wave of COVID-19 infections in the city, officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) this week took up a door-to-door survey to ascertain the number of people with symptoms of the viral disease. As a part of the survey, the officials visited at least 40,000 households and found 1,487 people suffering from fever and COVID-19 related symptoms. The survey was ordered by the state government which was carried out by 707 teams in total among 30 circles within the corporation limits and completed in two days.
