Government, Opposition reach consensus to discuss agri laws; three AAP members marshalled out of Rajya Sabha
The three MPs Sanjay Singh, Sushil Kumar Gupta and N D Gupta have been asked to remain absent from the House for the remaining part of the day.

NEW DELHI: The government and opposition parties in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday reached on consensus to allocate more time to discuss the motion of thanks and parties can raise their issues on farmers protest during the discussion.
After Rihanna,
Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg took to Twitter to extend support to the ongoing farmers agitation in India. The 18-year-old environmental activist shot to fame with her Fridays for Future movement in 2018. In a tweet on Tuesday, Greta Thunberg, while attaching a news story about internet shutdowns in Delhi, said, We stand in solidarity with the Farmers Protest in India.
Meanwhile, Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait reached Jind, Haryana today (Wednesday) to attend Khap mahapanchayat. The panchayat will convene at Kandela village and will be attended by various leaders from across Haryana. Nearly 30 Khap panchayats are taking part in the event in support of farmers protesting against the three newly enacted agri laws. Such panchayats will be held across the country until the government accepts our demands, said Rakesh Tikait was quoted by news agency AN as saying.

New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Following the ruckus over the farm laws by the opposition leaders yesterday, the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday assembled for the third day of the Budget Session of the Parliament. Just ahead of the start of the session, Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Anand Sharma gave a suspension of business notice in Rajya Sabha over the ongoing farmer agitation against Central agri laws. Several other opposition parties including Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), All India Trinamool Congress (TMS), Communist Party of India (CPI), Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Communist Party of India (Marxist) MPs also moved suspension of business notice in Rajya Sabha over ongoing farmer agitation.

Several other opposition parties including Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), All India Trinamool Congress (TMS), Communist Party of India (CPI), Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Communist Party of India (Marxist) MPs also moved suspension of business notice in Rajya Sabha over ongoing farmer agitation. The opposition on Tuesday staged a walkout from the Rajya Sabha after Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu rejected the suspension of business notice to discuss ongoing protest over the contentious farm laws.
