Date Time Flu vaccines now available 5 May Influenza (flu) vaccines are now available at Swan Hill Rural City Council’s immunisation sessions and special flu sessions. Council Public Health and Regulatory Services Coordinator Trish Ficarra is encouraging everyone to get vaccinated against the flu this year. “The vaccine is strongly recommended for older people, pregnant women and those who work or live with people at risk, but everyone is being encouraged this year to book in and receive the vaccine. The vaccine lasts up to one year and helps to avoid illnesses that might arise from the influenza virus. “Council has a large number of flu vaccines available and bookings are now available for both morning and evening sessions” Ms Ficarra said.
