Old Dominion is Coming to the Bank of NH Pavilion This July
For us at WOKQ, concerts are a HUGE part of our lives. In normal times we would be out and about almost every weekend at a different country show. We love hooking our listeners up with tickets to see their favorite country artists in concert. Plus it gives us a chance to hang out with them in real life (IRL as the kids say).
One of my favorite parts of this gig is when we get to upgrade listeners for wearing our WOKQ Neon Tees to a concert. Sometimes we get to upgrade their seats closer to the stage or even take them backstage to meet the artist. It is incredible!

Now wait before you freak out and start with the questions, let us paint a scenario for you. What happens if you or a loved one has an accident. They re rushed to the hospital. Every minute and second matters. They get to the hospital, they make it to the ER. And there s a blood shortage. Either there s very little or none at all. While that scenario sounds a little far fetched it has and does happen all the time.
Things are definitely buzzing in Carencro.
A KATC report on an abandoned house that is infested with bees ran earlier today, and while it looks like the issue seems to be getting resolved, the City of Carencro is defending the accuracy of what is being reported.
The original story claims that neighbors were concerned about the bee infestation continuing to grow as the weather continues to warm up in the area where the home is located. A resident who lives next door to the property told KATC her grandkids have already been stung by the bees while playing basketball just feet away from the property.

Overhaul Mental Health Laws Not Gun Laws
On Thursday President Joe Biden spoke to the Nation about his ideas for greater gun control. If taken at face value, the gun control argument is about keeping innocent people safe from bad guys with a gun. I don t believe that. Bad guys with guns know the law but don t care and mentally ill people with guns don t know reality much less care about gun laws. So who do gun control laws impact? The answer is you and me - the law abiding citizens exercising our constitutionally guaranteed right.
Clearly we have it backwards in our approach to guns and safety. Let s be honest. We look at the shooting carnage that takes place every week in Chicago and many of our other predominately big cities where thousands of people, including a disproportionate number of minorities, are shot and hundreds die over the course of a year and we seem willing to accept that. (WHY?) But it s the mass shootings of four or more that arouse our national
