Covid: Individuals entering Sabah must undergo RT-PCR testing: Masidi

26 May 2021 / 07:59 H. -Bernama KOTA KINABALU: Individuals entering Sabah must undergo RT-PCR COVID-19 testing five days before their departure, said State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun (pix). Masidi said only individuals who show no symptoms and whose results are negative would be allowed to enter Sabah and to undergo a 14-day quarantine as set by the state government. “Individuals from Sabah who wish to travel to Labuan will have to undergo RT-PCR Covid-19 testing three days before entering Labuan, while individuals from Sabah who want to enter Sarawak and the peninsula do not have to undergo RT-PCR testing as set by the Ministry of Health Malaysia,” the state government’s Covid-19 spokesman said in a statement yesterday.

They are of the opinion that regulations will ensure the growing number of vape consumers in Malaysia were protected by using vape products that complied with safety and quality standards, while allowing the industry to grow, to help generate economic activity in the post-Covid-19 situation. According to data from the National Health and Morbidity Survey 2019 by the Ministry of Health Malaysia, there are more than one million vape consumers in Malaysia and the figure is expected to increase in line with global trends.

Its Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee (pic), in a statement, said a total of 85 marketing outlets of the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) were involved in the programme comprising 59 Farmers’ Markets, 23 Permanent Farmers’ Markets and three MyFarm Outlets that would conclude today (May 12). He said the government’s decision to give operating permission to Fama marketing outlets such as the Aidilfitri Farmers’ Market was to ensure that consumers continue to receive fresh supplies in conjunction with the Aidilfitri celebration.
