Sale was one of hundreds of schoolboys who were abducted last week by gunmen in Katsina State. They arrived at the state government house on Friday morning after being rescued the previous night.

Governor Bello Matawallen of Zamfara State has congratulated the parents of the once abducted children of Government Science Secondary School Kankara, Katsina State, who have now been released.
This was even as he regretted the statement credited to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the role of Zamfara State in the fight against banditry in the North-West.
A statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Zailani Bappa on Friday, noted that the governor had dedicated the whole of his precious time and efforts in the last 100 hours to ensure the release of these innocent children.
He, however, said he was taken aback over a statement in the media credited to the National Publicity Secretary of the APC accusing him of harbouring bandits who terrorise the North-west.

The Defence Headquarters on Friday disclosed that the 344 abducted students of the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara who were returned to Katsina State from Zamfara State after being freed on Thursday, were rescued by troops of Operation Hadarin Daji.
DHQ stated the the students were rescued following credible intelligence received and a high level of professionalism displayed by troops towards getting all the boys out alive.
A statement in this regard, signed by Major General John Enenche was titled “Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji Rescue Abducted Students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State”.
Mr Yekini Nabena, APC Acting Deputy National Publicity Secretary gave the charge in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.
Nabena who did not name the governor, said that the increased spate of banditry in the area was political motivated.
He added that the development was not unconnected with the alleged sponsorship of banditry and other violent crimes by the said governor.
“Our security agencies have intelligence reports linking one of the North-West governors of colluding with bandits to sponsor violent and criminal activities in the zone.
“I won t give details because of the sensitive and security nature of the issue.
