Former inspector-general Abdul Hamid Bador has revealed the story behind Home Minister Hamzah Zainudin s purported attempt to appoint his boy into the Royal Malaysian Police Force.
Hamid was quoted as saying by
MalaysiaGazette that it involved Hamzah s attempt to install his favoured candidate to lead the Special Branch after the police intelligence unit snubbed the minister s request to conduct political operations.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 ― Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani will be 60-years-old this year, as he takes on the responsibility as the country’s top cop after he was officially appointed as Inspector-General of Police yesterday.
A graduate in Masters of Science (Management) Degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia, Acryl Sani is a household name, who first started his service in the police force on February 2, 1986 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

The PDRM (Royal Malaysian Police) response categorising it as a possible joke is despicable and unprofessional - at least you have exposed the complete lack of awareness and expertise in this area of public concerns (despite all the learning and training all these years).
