New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Saturday (April 17, 2021) said that it arrested 247 people and registered 447 FIRs against the weekend curfew violators.
The statement came hours after the Delhi Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava told ANI that Police is strictly enforcing the weekend curfew. People who are out of their house unnecessarily are being prosecuted and cases being registered against them, said the Delhi Police Chief who also visited the Signature bridge to review the implementation of weekend lockdown in the national capital.

No FIR against four airlines, seeking legal opinion on issue: Delhi Police ANI | Updated: Apr 19, 2021 00:53 IST
New Delhi [India], April 19 (ANI): Delhi Police has said it has not registered a First Information Report (FIR) on the complaint of the Arvind Kejriwal-led government against four airlines for allegedly failing to check their passengers traveling from Maharashtra to the national capital with a Covid RT-PCR negative report.
Police, in an official statement, on Sunday said it is seeking legal opinion on the matter.
Earlier in the day, the Kejriwal government lodged a complaint with Delhi Police against four airlines IndiGo, Vistara, SpiceJet, and AirAsia and asked it to file an FIR under Delhi Disaster Management Act (DDMA).

New Delhi, April 17 : With the surge in the number of Covid-19 cases in the national capital, Delhi Congress chief Chaudhary Anil Kumar on Saturday said that the party will collect plasma from its workers to help the coronavirus patients in need. Speaking to media here, Kumar said that the Covid-19 cases in Delhi has taken a form of monster and Delhi government and the central government are proving to be completely unsuccessful in controlling it.
