Women Arrested On Felony Drug Charges Following Reported Chase

24-year-old Payton Rose Schwantes of Stony Point and 38-year-old Chrystal Gail Stikeleather of Taylorsville were arrested Saturday (May 1) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. Schwantes is charged with two felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Stikeleather is charged with two felony counts of trafficking in meth, single felony counts of maintain a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substance, and flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle. She’s also charged with misdemeanor counts of injury to personal property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

EAST CAPE, Ill. (KFVS) - The Bill Emerson Bridge has reopened.
According to the Alexander County Sheriff, officers from the Alexander County Sheriffâs Office and Illinois State Police are investigating a shooting and a wreck that occurred near The Pony in East Cape. Police investigate incident in East Cape. (Source: KFVS)
The bridge was closed while they conducted an investigation.

It’s been approximately three-and-a-half months since a woman was shot to death at a Hickory business, and the Hickory Police Department along with other area law enforcement agencies are continuing to seek a pair of suspects wanted in that case. A national manhunt was also launched for 49-year-old Tangela Louise Parker and 61-year-old Eric Carroll Parker, both of Taylorsville. They’re wanted in connection to the murder of Phelifa Michelle Marlow on January 13.
