A Hudson Valley man was sentenced to four to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide in connection with the drunk driving death of a Hudson Valley man.
Ulster County resident Abram Almahri, age 21, New Paltz, was sentenced on Thursday, April 29, after entering the guilty plea and admitting to engaging in reckless driving while having a blood alcohol content of .18 or higher and while such driving caused the death of 25-year-old Jade Randazzo, said the Ulster County District Attorney s Office.
The charges stemmed from an incident on Henry W. DuBois Road on Friday, March 29, 2019.

Angell s office said it had provided Family Services with suggestions on how the two offices could work together, but those recommendations were not accepted.

Gilbert Thomas, 24, 9 Franklin and Robert âNikkiâ James, 46, both of 49 Franklin St. were indicted by an Ulster County Grand Jury, according to the DAâs office. The indictment was handed up Wednesday, Dec. 30, the office said.
Thomas and James are accused of second-degree murder for âacting in concert under circumstances evincing a depraved indifference to human life while recklessly engaging in conduct which created a grave risk of death to another person and causing the death of that person or a third person,â a press release issued Wednesday says.
