People who follow the popular regiment full of vegetables, fruits, beans, whole grains and healthy fats have better cognitive function in later life, according to a new report from Scotland. A group of over 500 seniors were quizzed about their eating habits and given a series of memory and thinking challenges. Those who closely followed the Mediterranean Diet, especially by eating lots of green leafy vegetables and only a little red meat, scored somewhat better.
