SAND LAKE – The Averill Park Central School District said it is closing its three elementary schools and moving the middle and high schools to full remote learning for Monday to allow time for contact tracing after five recent positive COVID-19 cases.
“Due to the timing of these cases, we are unable to thoroughly conduct the necessary contact tracing and the DOH (Rensselaer County Department of Health) cannot quarantine individuals until the District is able to effectively contact trace,” the district said Monday.
