Custodial killings in Indian Occupied Kashmir go on while world keeps silence

The world is silent as before while custodial killings of Kashmiri leaders in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicate that soft response from the international community is encouraging India to go ahead with its plan of a complete purge against those who want freedom promised by the United Nations with Kashmiris.
The recent incident of custodial killing is the death of a 77-year-old leader of Hurriyat, a pro-freedom group in the region. Mohammad Ashraf Khan (1944 – 5 May 2021), chiefly known as Ashraf Sehrai.
He was arrested under the barbaric law -Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act – in July 2020 and was serving imprisonment in the district jail of Udhampur.

After the February 25 LOC ceasefire, agreed upon by Pakistani and Indian DGMOs, several exchanges followed between the two governments in the shape of letters and greetings etc, which left little doubt that background meetings between India and Pakistan officials were underway.
The Indian media briefed by its officials was first out with the story: that there had been exchanges between the security officials of the two countries, a timeline of actions was agreed upon, and the process of bilateral dialogue and the revival of Saarc including the arrival of Indian Prime Minister Modi in Pakistan for the Saarc summit before the year end was all but sorted out. ISLAMABAD: Former Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani has termed the European Union Resolution against Pakistan as discriminatory and double-standard of the West, saying that if European and Western capitals are the citadels of protecting human rights and freedom of expression then the EU Resolution against Pakistan is discriminatory.
“During the last two years, India has subjected the people of Occupied Kashmir to genocide, using rape as a weapon of war, using pallet bullets on children, practicing ethnic genocide, changing the demography of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) and violating the Security Council resolutions, but no resolution or review of ties has been undertaken.,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.
SRINAGAR: A prominent politician in Occupied Kashmir who challenged India’s rule over the disputed region for decades died on Wednesday while in police custody. He was 78.
Mohammed Ashraf Sehrai was admitted to a government hospital with multiple ailments on Tuesday from a jail in the southern Jammu region, officials and his family said.
Sehrai’s son, Mujahid Sehrai, said his father was denied proper medical care while in jail. He said he spoke to his father 10 days ago and he complained of ill health.
“He told us several times in the last few months during his two phone calls a week to home that he was not getting proper medical treatment,” his son said. “We moved a court on April 16 with a petition seeking proper medical assistance for him but the court is yet to review it.”
