AP High Court Grants Dulipalla Narendra 4-Week Conditional Bail

May 24, 2021, 18:16 IST AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday granted conditional bail to former TDP MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar in the Sangam Dairy case. In its orders, the Court instructed that he should stay in the Vijayawada municipal limits for four weeks and register his address with the police. The HC permitted the ACB officials to interrogate Dhulipalla in the case by giving  a one-day advance notice before calling him for investigation. It may be recollected that after Dhulipalla’s arrest ACB officials filed a petition in the ACB special court seeking to remand Narendra and the other two accused in custody in connection with the Sangam Dairy financial and administrative irregularities case. Responding positively, the ACB court on Friday remanded Narendra and others in ACB custody for five days.

AP High Court Cancels MPTC ZPTC 2021 Elections

May 21, 2021, 14:15 IST VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday cancelled the Parishad elections (MPTC ZPTC polls 2021), which were held on April 8. A single bench of the High Court also directed the State Election Commission (SEC) to issue fresh notification and conduct the elections again after the COVID cases subside. It may be recollected that the SEC had issued a notification on April 1 for the Parishad elections for the Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTC) and Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTC) to be resumed after they were postponed on March 15, 2020, due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the elections for panchayats and urban local bodies were completed in March, the parishad elections had to wait.
