Three men are now facing charges after shooting up a strip club in Anaheim, California for refusing to wear a mask.
Edgar Nava-Ayala, Daniel Juvenal Ocampo, and Juan Jose Acosta-Soto were all kicked out from Sahara Theater on Halloween night. However, they returned to the Sahara in a red Toyota Camry. Nava-Ayala allegedly fired about 15 rounds from an AK-47 semiautomatic rifle “indiscriminately” into the club, according to statements from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and the Anaheim Police Department.
“The suspects were kicked out for refusing to wear masks,” police Sgt. Shane Carringer said. “They returned and fired on the club in retaliation of being kicked out.”

Pandemic delays police reform in Port, Deerpark

PORT JERVIS - Covid-19 has delayed the launch of police reform committee meetings in both Port Jervis and Deerpark, says Stewart Rosenwasser, special counsel for policy research and legal development for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. Because of infection of municipal employees, meetings in both municipalities will not begin until January, he said.
To receive state funding, police departments must submit reform plans, guided by community input, by April 1, as required by the governor’s Executive Order 203. However, about half of the 35 police departments in the county have not begun their reform process yet, said Rosenwasser, who will participate on both the Deerpark and Port Jervis police reform committees. He represents the district attorney’s office in reform committees around the county.
