Medicaid enrollment administrator Maximus, based in Reston, Va., announced the acquisition of the Federal division of McLean-based Attain LLC for $430 million today. The privately owned Attain services the federal government and features artificial intelligence and machine learning. Attain Federal fits into Maximus’ long-term strategy of digital transformation and expansion in the federal market.
For Maximus, the acquisition will further its efforts to offer services that include technology solutions for government, Bruce Caswell, Maximus president and CEO, said in a statement.
“Our M&A strategy remains keenly focused on enabling us to build long-term, sustainable, organic growth by continuing to build scale, enhance our clinical and digital capabilities, and extend into new areas. We believe this is an optimal path to enhancing long-term shareholder value.
