Military families play for free all summer at Children’s Museum Fosters Daily Democrat DOVER – Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 15 will be the start of the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire’s Military Appreciation Summer, during which all current and retired military personnel and their immediate family members are invited to play at no cost. From this Saturday through Sunday, Sept. 5, guests can simply show a military ID at the front desk of the museum to receive free admission for the military member, dependent children and spouse.  The museum’s Military Appreciation Program is made possible by Service Credit Union and is part of the larger nationwide Blue Star Museum program. The Blue Star Museum program is a collaboration between the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and the Department of Defense. NDSU Pharmacy Student Receives National Award from U S Public Health Service

(Fargo, ND) A big honor coming down for one North Dakota State University student making a difference in patient care. For her work to help underserved populations, NDSU pharmacy student Karly Westra this week received the U.S. Public Health Service Excellence in Public Health Pharmacy Award. For the past two years, Westra served as ambulatory care clinical pharmacy intern at Family HealthCare, a local clinic that cares for underserved patients who may be homeless, have low health literacy, limited resources, language barriers, or other barriers to receiving health care. Each week, Westra partners with this patient population. She helps them access care and increase their chances of optimal outcomes in the following areas:  hepatitis C virus (HCV) treatment, tobacco use disorder, diabetes, anticoagulation, transitions of care, and other chronic disease states. She assists in direct patient care and in population health efforts to improve outcomes.

McCord Jr About 100 unaccompanied migrant children arrived at the Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Emergency Intake Site on Saturday, the first group to be sheltered at the facility. The site, which was announced in March, is part of an effort from the Biden administration to move migrant children out of U.S. Customs and Border Protection facilities.
