Qatar to surpass administering 2 million vaccine doses today  15 May 2021 - 8:34 Representational image By Irfan Bukhari | The Peninsula Doha: With a fast vaccination pace adopted by the Ministry of Public Health in the last many weeks, Qatar is likely to cross administering 2 million vaccine doses milestone today. So far Qatar has administered 1,976,748 COVID-19 vaccine doses under National COVID-19 Vaccination Program. In the last five days, over 30, 000 vaccine doses were administered in the country on daily basis which reflects that Qatar is set to cross administering 2 million vaccine doses today. According to data released by the Ministry yesterday, 32,120 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered in 24 hours.

Parents can register 12-to-15-year-old children for vaccine from tomorrow

Offering the vaccine to 12-15-year-olds in Qatar will help to ensure a return to greater normality when the school year starts this coming September.  Children aged from 12 to 15 years are to be offered the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in Qatar, MoPH had announced last week.

 15 May 2021 - 18:25 The Peninsula Online Doha: Qatar has crossed 2 million vaccine doses milestone today.  The Ministry of Public Health has announced that the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program reached the significant milestone today with 51.9 percent of adults in Qatar having now received at least one vaccine dose. To date, 2,002,018 doses have been administered since the start of the programme, with 1,177,725 people having received at least one vaccine dose, while 36.4 percent of the adult population already received the two doses. “Play your part in enabling life to return towards normal by getting vaccinated when it is your turn,” urged MoPH. The Ministry of Public has announced that parents will be able to register their 12 to 15-year-old children for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine starting tomorrow.
