Qatar’s healthcare sector has maintained a strong focus on establishing new facilities to address the healthcare needs of the growing population.
Under this ambition, the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has planned to set up four new primary health centers (HCs) at different locations in the country.
According to a report by the local Arabic daily, Arrayah, the new centers will be opened in Al Hilal, Bani Hajer, Umm Ghuwailina and Khalifa City by 2024.
These new centers will feature several services and comprise specialized clinics such as dental, ENT, chronic and skin disease treatment as well as physiotherapy and wellness services, according to Arrayah.
Doha: Primary Health Care Corporation will commence administering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine in three of its health centers: Al Wajba, Lebaib, and Thumama, from tomorrow, Monday 22 February.
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Saturday reiterated that vaccination at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) is intended for specific groups on a priority basis. The MoPH confirms that invitations will be sent in a gradual and phased manner to ensure the safety of society and a smooth and effective vaccination process, it said in a post on social media.
The current stage targets the teaching and administrative staff at schools for their own safety and the safety of our own students , the ministry explained. The reiteration came a day after the MoPH clarified that it was not true that whoever went to the new temporary Covid-19 vaccination centre at QNCC would be given the vaccine. The ministry invites all community members to obtain news and information from official sources, the ministry s website and social media accounts, it had said in a tweet on Friday.
