(MENAFN - Gulf Times) Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) has concluded ‘You are Precious campaign to raise awareness about cervical cancer, the sixth most diagnosed cancer among females in Qatar according to Qatar National Cancer Registry (QNCR) 2016 at the Ministry of Public Health. The campaign included many virtual workshops and competitions to raise awareness about signs, symptoms and risk factors about the disease and encouraged early detection by distributing 100 vouchers to do Pap Smear test free in Al Ahli Hospital.
Specialists including Dr Aisha al-Thani from Aisha Salman al-Thani Centre; Dr Sahar al-Ani, consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at the Middle East Centre; Nour al-Bisani from Diet Delight Centre; Dr Nagham al-Kreedi at Al-Dafna Medical Centre, as well as media figure Amal Abdul-Malik participated in the campaign.

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani on Thursday visited a new temporary Covid-19 vaccination centre opened at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).
The visit aimed to review the State s plan to expand the national programme for vaccination against Covid-19, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
In the first phase, the centre will focus on vaccinating teachers and school staff, in addition to other essential workers and community members who meet the eligibility criteria.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior inspected the centre, which is run by the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH). He was briefed on the work mechanism in general, the operational capacity of the centre and the medical procedures used, QNA said.

Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has successfully completed the spectators screening project for those who attended the FIFA Club World Cup, under the guidance of the Managing Director, Dr. Mariam Ali Abdul Malik.
It complemented the success achieved in managing the same project at the conclusion of H H the Amir Cup and AFC Finals 2020, following the methodology and the firm system starting from Project Strategic Planning to Operational Implementation Phase, said PHCC in a statement yesterday.
PHCC, in partnership with Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) and Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), supported Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SCDL) in hosting the FIFA Club World Cup as per the new sports protocols, which were suited to the world’s COVID-19 current phase.
