Three dead in Austin shooting

The Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services said police and paramedics responded to an active shooter situation around 11:42 a.m. Three adults were declared dead at the scene, officials said. Around 2 p.m. the Austin Police Department (APD) said what they initially believed to be a possible active shooter situation now appears to have been an isolated domestic event, according to KXAN.  The police department said there is currently no threat to the public, however the manhunt for the shooter is still ongoing.

According to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, the crash happened around 11 a.m. in the 31000 block of West Parmer Lane, near the Mopac Expressway.

The accident was first reported shortly after 6 a.m. CST Thursday, 9-1-1 calls flooding the Fort Worth 911 Communications Center about an accident in the southbound express lanes of I-35 at Northside. Over the course of the next several hours, 26 Fort Worth Fire Department emergency vehicles, including three heavy-rescue companies and multiple special units, arrived on the scene, Fort Worth Fire Chief Jim Davis said during a news conference Thursday. Upon assessing the scene, the responders among the first to arrive called in for more assistance. A total of 13 ambulances and 80 police units responded to the accident.
