Three people were killed in a shooting at an apartment complex in Austin, Texas, on Sunday, authorities said.
The Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services said police and paramedics responded to an active shooter situation around 11:42 a.m. Three adults were declared dead at the scene, officials said.
Around 2 p.m. the Austin Police Department (APD) said what they initially believed to be a possible active shooter situation now appears to have been an isolated domestic event, according to KXAN. The police department said there is currently no threat to the public, however the manhunt for the shooter is still ongoing.

MetroRail train collides with vehicle at crossing in North Austin

AUSTIN, Texas - Police are investigating after a MetroRail train and a vehicle got into a collision at a crossing in North Austin.
One passenger in the vehicle was transported to St. David s Round Rock Medical Center with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. A few customers were on the train and they are being transported to their destinations, according to Cap Metro.
According to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, the crash happened around 11 a.m. in the 31000 block of West Parmer Lane, near the Mopac Expressway.

Deadly pileup in Fort Worth like a scene out of a movie
Interstate 35 near Fort Worth, Texas, was shut down early Thursday morning after a major pileup clogged the highway with vehicles ranging from sedans to tractor-trailers.
The accident was first reported shortly after 6 a.m. CST Thursday, 9-1-1 calls flooding the Fort Worth 911 Communications Center about an accident in the southbound express lanes of I-35 at Northside.
Over the course of the next several hours, 26 Fort Worth Fire Department emergency vehicles, including three heavy-rescue companies and multiple special units, arrived on the scene, Fort Worth Fire Chief Jim Davis said during a news conference Thursday. Upon assessing the scene, the responders among the first to arrive called in for more assistance. A total of 13 ambulances and 80 police units responded to the accident.
First responders with Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services and the Austin Fire Department responded to a 26 car pile-up on SH 45 Thursday morning.
