The UK broadcaster has ordered new original series
Dodo from Bristol-based Wildseed Studios for a June premiere. The 20 x 10-minute animated comedy follows along as a young boy starts his first year of middle school and always ends up overcoming embarrassing situations.
Dodo was created by Jack Bennett and is based on his eight-minute animated short
Not The End of the World. Wildseed is producing the series in association with Birkdale Film and Television, India’s Toonz Media Group and Ireland’s Telegael.

First Day (four x 30 minutes) from the Australian Children’s Television Foundation.
NHK acquired the 18-minute film that inspired the series back in 2019, and now it plans to premiere the series in June as part of its Inclusion Week programming stunt.

ABC Children’s series Parent Up and The PM’s Daughter greenlit

ABC and Screen Australia are pleased to announce two exciting new live action series Parent Up and The PM’s Daughter. Both series will go into production this year and join MaveriX, Itch Season 2 and Hardball Season 2 on ABC ME’s action-packed slate of narrative drama.
ABC Head of Children’s Production Libbie Doherty said, “Strap in for a very exciting ride on ABC ME. We are turning up the heat with big E for Entertainment – new and returning series purpose fit for iview and the streaming landscape. ABC has won seven trophies at the international Kidscreen Awards, including four for hit series,
Bluey.
ABC programs and Australian producers and creators were honoured across the preschool, kids and tweens / teens programming categories at the awards on 9 February, which celebrate the world’s best children’s television and digital entertainment.
ABC’s haul of 7 Kidscreen Awards was its most successful to date, tying with Disney, and only just behind US network PBS (8).
Bluey, produced by Ludo Studio, won Best Animated Series for preschoolers, plus three Creative Talent Awards for Best Directing, Best Writing and Best Music.
