Feb 5, 2021 / 11:53 AM EST INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) New COVID-19 data has been released by the Indiana State Department of Health. ISDH says 1,529 more Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19. Those tests were recorded on Feb. 4. A total of 635,171 Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19. ISDH says 49 more Hoosiers have died from COVID-19. The deaths occurred between Dec. 23 and Feb. 4. A total of 11,280 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19. Another 406 “probable” deaths have occurred but a positive test is not on record. The 7-day positivity rate for unique individuals stands at 15.4%. The 7-day positivity rate for all tests is 7.2%. There are currently 1,446 Hoosiers hospitalized with COVID-19.

City-County Council Republicans Take Issue With Partisan Appointment To IMPD General Orders Board INDIANAPOLIS Last year, the Indianapolis City-County Council passed a plan to form a new general orders board for the Indianapolis Metro Police Department. The board will be made up of four civilians and three police officers, meaning civilians will outnumber officers on the primary committee that sets policy for the police department. Two of those civilian members were appointed to the board on Monday. They are Indiana University McKinney School of Law professor Lahny Silva and Dr. Clyde Posley, Jr., a pastor at the Antioch Baptist Church in Indy.

Feb 4, 2021 / 12:00 PM EST INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) New COVID-19 data has been released by the Indiana State Department of Health. The state’s death toll is now above 11,000 due to the addition of 1,507 historical deaths that were identified through an audit of 2020 and 2021 death records. ISDH says 2,403 more Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19. Those tests were recorded between May 20 and Feb. 3. A total of 633,690 Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19. ISDH says 37 more Hoosiers have died from COVID-19. The deaths occurred between Nov. 19 and Feb. 3. A total of 11,231 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19. Another 406 “probable” deaths have occurred but a positive test is not on record.
