Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has achieved yet another milestone by successfully launching the GSAT-17 communication satellite, which blasted off from French Guiana. Ariane-5 VA-238 launched the GSAT-17, which weighs 3,477 kg, into space on June 28.

There are also changes in offline retail where one sees an increase in curbside pick up to offer customers a safe option when collecting their orders. Also, in healthcare, every outpatient visit is going to start with telemedicine. There is also the adoption of digital twins, which is the collection of digital data representing a physical object, in the manufacturing industry.
Airtel takes a U-turn with 5G demo
Gopal Vittal said the telco will eventually refarm its mid-band spectrum to deliver 5G since it has adequate amount of spectrum available in that range.

‘Student community must become part of ISRO family’

The student community across the country must become a part of the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) family, said its Chairman K. Sivan during a virtual address from Bengaluru on Thursday.
He addressed the students and faculty members of three institutions - Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology in Coimbatore, Jeppiaar Institute of Technology in Chennai and G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering in Nagpur - as he virtually inaugurated their respective satellite ground stations. The satellites developed by the students from these three institutions will be a part of the UNITYSat, which will be launched into orbit on February 28 by ISRO’s PSLV C-51.
The 3,300-3,400 MHz band is with the defence ministry while a block of 25 units, or 3,400-3,425 MHz, is presently used by the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro).
